   Lara Kobrin began her acting journey at a very early age playing Goldilocks in a preschool production of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." Lara was raised in a small town, but luckily the arts community was thriving! Lara spent much of her childhood and formative years on stage in local community theater productions. In the mid-90's, Lara helped her performance-oriented family establish the Waterfront Players Repertory Company, based on the south coast of Oregon, a theater company dedicated to the cultural enrichment of the community.

While continuing to enjoy live theater, Lara also discovered an equal love for film work in the early '00's after moving to Portland, Oregon. Since then, Lara has continued to work steadily with various independent production companies in the Northwest. In 2004, she landed her first starring role in the Portland-based independent film Damaged Goods, written and directed by David Walker.

In addition to film and stage, Lara is also active in national, regional and local commercial work.

In August 2011, Lara co-produced and starred in a film for The 48-Hour Film Project in Portland. Lara's team, Rain Country, and their film "For Closure" won the Audience Award, made the "best Of Portland" screening,  and Lara won the Best Actress award for her performance! See the film here. Lara's was last seen on stage in How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents on the Miracle Theatre MainStage. She will take to the stage again in January 2012 for The Tripping Point: An Exhibition of Fairytale Installations produced and directed by Shaking the Tree and featuring playwrights from Playwrights West. Lara also co-produced and co-stars in the web-series Wage Slaves created by Chris A. Bolton (Fade to Black Films, LLC). Wage Slaves premiered online July 21, 2009 @ www.wageslaveseries.com. As of August 31, 2010, Season Two is online!

Lara is also the co-owner of Torso-Torso, a boutique screen printing company based in Portland.
